Brisbane is a city of contrasts: metropolitan trends blended with the permanency of history and heritage. The city offers tourists a relaxed atmosphere with modern cosmopolitan ambience.

What distinguishes Brisbane from other Australian cities is its colonial architecture, brought about by European settlers adjusting to the heat by building wooden houses referred to as “Old Queenslanders”. Many examples of these can be found in our suburb of Ashgrove.

South Bank, located across Victoria Bridge from the city centre, offers a choice of entertainment and attractions.  It is the home of the Queensland Cultural Centre which houses the Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland State Library, Queensland Theatre Company, and the Performing Arts Centre.  There is a number of restaurants, hotels, barbeque sites, attractions and the Streets manmade beach in the parklands area.

Brisbane also boasts a number of world-class flora and fauna parks.  These include Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens and the City Botanic Gardens. Also worth a visit is Walk About Creek.

There are quite a range of attractions in this city from main stream sights to those offering a different glimpse of this sunshine capital.  We can suggest a range of activities, cruises, theatre shows, historical sights and pubs, markets and restaurants to help you enjoy your stay in Brisbane.
